Game Changes Due to Conflicts

Schools must reschedule games on their own – both schools must agree on date. Please use Change of Game request form (found in the Information for Coaches /Coaches FAQs section of Goalline website). Please advise John Ioannides of rescheduled games so that proper notice can be provided to Umpires.

AQHI & Rainouts – Postponements Due to Weather

 AQHI

Games can’t be played when the AQHI reaches a Level 7 or higher.

Monitor the air quality via the Environment Canada Website

This site has an option to view the City quadrant you are playing in.

 Rainouts

If it is a day when the City closes all sports fields, (you can check their website - see below) then the games will be rescheduled. If we know the fields are closed, an email will be sent to all teams in all Leagues. In league wide postponement cases, this may mean games will be moved to another date within the parameters of our regular season schedule.  Any games not able to be rescheduled will be set as a 0-0 draw.

If weather has been inclement on a given day, host schools are asked to check their fields at noon to ensure it is playable. If schools individually need or choose to postpone, contact your opponent and decide upon a date as soon as possible, fill out change of game form (available on Goalline under menu item FAQs) and send to me. Choosing to reschedule a game must be done before 1 pm as any assigned official needs to be notified by 1:00 pm

If the rain starts up late in the day, schools will have to make the call based on the play-ability of their field – whether or not it is safe to play on. If the game is underway, the official will make the call whether to continue or stop the game.

Any cancellations of officials after 1:00 pm will result in the host school being billed. If an official arrives and the game can't be played, they will call the game and a 50% cost will be charged to the host school.
